OHIP Coverage

    Children

    Children (0-19) are covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) once every 12 months for a basic eye exam.

    Seniors

    Seniors (over 64 years of age) are covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) once every 12 months for a basic eye exam.

    Eye Conditions

    Patients with certain medical conditions are covered under OHIP. This includes conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular disease, corneal disease, amblyopia and visual field defect.

Insurance Coverage

We can help patients bill directly to most insurance companies.

If the patient wishes to submit to their insurance themselves, a receipt can be provided at the end of the exam
